Hello! My name is Sara, welcome to my blog! I’m happy you’re here 🙂
I created this blog to educate, inspire, and overall build a community. In July of 2022 my boyfriend (now fiancée, ayyy), Ethan, and our orange tabby (we picked up another kitty since then too!) hit the road! We had bounced around a few places before that: Denver, various cities in CT, and then Dallas for a literal hot minute. Like, so hot?! How do you Texans do it?! We were both working remotely, and decided to hit the road after only living in Dallas for 6 months. No shade to Dallas (like seriously, we couldn’t find any shade – ok ok I’m done with the hot weather jokes), it was a great city but it just wasn’t meant for us in that time!
I always love to tell how we got started RVing. I just remember the idea popping into my head one day and I asked Ethan, “Hey, would you ever live in an RV?” And he just looked me square in the face and said, “I would.. but.. would YOU?” Lol!
Living in an RV was a foreign concept to me. But the idea of being able to travel more and see different parts of the country, for more than a quick 3 day weekend was enticing. I remember getting started and trying to research everything there was about the RV life. It was definitely a learning curve getting started, so I wanted to provide a space to answer all of those beginner questions and calm those nervous jitters! For those who can’t hop into an RV on a whim – I get it! For me, traveling doesn’t have to be cross-continental, or even cross-country. Traveling is about getting absorbed and immersed in your environment, finding beauty in what’s around you, and making connections to the places and faces where you are. You can do that in your own backyard, town, city, or state. So follow along as I take you through my journey and help you pursue your own!
Oh the name? The Relaxed Hustle? Well, that’s just how I like to live my life. A balance between exploring new places, new faces, and new life adventures, yet reminding myself when to take things slower, savoring in those special life moments – whether they be big or small life moments. I haven’t always been like this. It’s taken practice, and always will, but it’s helped me make the absolute most out of my life, and that’s what I want for you too!
